The greatest love stories are not those in which love is spoken but those in which it is acted upon
The greatest love story of all times: Arnav and Khushi's story which is going through so many highs and lows yet is so stable. The two diametrically opposite people who never failed a chance in uttering their dislike for each other, slowly got woven into an iron strong bond. Neither of them had acknowledged their love for each other but then what is the necessity for verbal communication when they understand each other perfectly. When Arnav was in hostage and talks to Khushi over phone he senses Khushi's tears even though there wasn't a sound of her sob. He says I love you just like that, just out of the blue. If I say about me I never wanted to see this kind of a confession. There was no prelude to it. But now when I think about it, it appears that he chimed out those words because he thought that this is the last time he is talking to her and may be he won't get another chance to express himself. Khushi's was well speechless. Any girl would be. She was silent as if her voice left her soul. But her silence was understood by Arnav. Here is this man hard as rock who hated her initially, loved her then and again hated her when the misunderstanding crept in but could he really hate her! No, I don't think so, for the number of times he tortured her, his heart burnt in that agony and wept over the bruises he gave her.
The time comes when Khushi finds herself in the same shack where Arnav was kept. When they finally see each other, that gaze, the unadulterated love and the longing to hold each other's hands after a separation was so evident. Arnav asks her how she found about him being in danger. I had wished so much that Khushi could finish her sentence. Again the irony strikes my mind. He should know how much he has hurt her, with what pathetic words he has bruised her heart and soul. And see what he gets in return: the unconditional love of a girl who risked her life to protect his. Doesn't that girl deserves to be cherished by him throughout his life?
We all know Arnav has that possessive streak in him for Khushi and it emanated strong when his eyes witnessed her love being mistreated by the goon. He could have killed the guy had Khushi not stopped him.
The words, 'tum theek ho' brought out so many emotions. It was magical when he just took a small step and she came running into his arms. That moment when she lifted her toes to give him a hug wrapping her arms around his neck and he returned that hug by enveloping her was so special. Months of agony forgotten when their hearts melted and they just surrendered to that blissful love. The feeling of belonging was so evident on their faces. Despite the precarious situation they were in when they were just few seconds away from the goons, they couldn't resist that embrace, the embrace that was timeless and soul-mates never cared for anything or anyone that moment when the time stood still for them.
While on chase both of them try to save each other from the prick but getting hurt in the process. If this is not love then what is love?
Taking shelter in the hut and offering her those bright and shining fireflies because she is afraid of dark. Noticing and remembering the nuances of her fears, likes and dislikes shows how much he values her.
The trust that was missing in their relationship came with a bang in yesterday's episode. She didn't want him to leave and he said you count till 10. She nodded like a child showing how much faith she has in him. Her nod was innocent, just like a child. But it depicted her belief in him.
It is so true that Arnav was mesmerized watching Khushi's shadow. When he saw through that fine curtain. Her shadow doing its work on his mind, making him aroused and his subtle expressions changing from one shade to another, mirroring his inner state. The effect was so tantalizing and raw that he found himself vulnerable. Imagine ASR being vulnerable. Now, this is something.
The question that Aranv asked Khushi how did she know if he was not in Scotland. His hesitation in asking and her stumbling upon words in replying was so beautifully done.
Yesterday's episode wasn't just about their romance. We witnessed so many facets of love:Understanding, reassurance, trust, caring, passion, attraction and respect. Now he respects her all the more. In the beginning he had himself torn her pearl dori but now a torn sleeve embarrasses him.
She appears before him in virginal white with a streak of passionate red. This passion has a name now..Love! The prelude to consuming their love commenced with feather light peck on the nape of the neck.
Him not giving up when she tries to escape his arms was so Arnav'ish, it was like getting our old fellow back. and then the ultimate scene putting her on the hay, him closing the distance between them and her slipping away. That was maddening!
That desire, longing and pining to have her right there was so evident on his face. The height was when he undid the dori. Gosh! I was trembling. What else should I say! The song was so appropriate, nicely depicting her state of mind. Confused, shy, happy, her mind heavy with his touches. Oh! That was so so exhilarating."
He was equally passionate on the Diwali night but when he came back to his senses he just withdrew, he felt guilty of his doing but yesterday that passion redefined their relationship. He didn't back off instead picked her up and she surrendered with a belief that this time she will not be left in the middle.
I wonder how the creatives of the show always end up with so appropriate songs.
सैयां तू जो छु ले प्यार से, आराम से मर जाऊं
आजा चंदा बाहों में तुझ में हे गम हो जाऊं, तेरे नाम में खो जाऊं
The lyrics that showed her complete surrender...ये नयी नयी सुहागन हो गयी है तेरी जोगन
The joy of being so close to each other interrupted by the sound brought them back to the world but this time there was no trace of embarrassment or the guilt.
Realizing that they were surrounded by the goons Arnav told her to stay back only to be countered fiercely. She made herself clear that she's not letting him go alone, so Arnav did what was appropriate. He didn't persuade her because he knew she couldn't be persuaded on this one. So he chose a harsh way. And mark my words he is going to repent on that. It was an ugly sight but proved effective. I liked the scene when he was burying her under the hay and then kissed her forehead.
He went with the goons leaving his Khushi safe and sound. Next day she wakes up with an aching head and frantically searches for Arnav. Remembers and realizes what had happened. She notices the pot and remembers their little joyful and pleasant moment of togetherness. He saved her and risked his life.
Love really does transcend all boundaries. When Arnav and Khushi were at the airport, Khushi tried hard to stop him but the dense clouds of misunderstanding shadowed him. Then happened that one call and Arnav emerged a bit out of that looming MU and yesterday the feeling of love between them was so strong that there was no room for any animosity, wrong ideas or misconceptions.

".so very well written" would be an under statement for your write up...i just adored it...and without even seeing the epi, from your write up I could relived it again...you just poured your heart (and ours as well;) in that write up...
ReplyDeleteyes, you are right this time backing up from the unfinished business did not bring any embarrassment for him...because he knew that this was the right thing he was doing....and they both were so ready for this from thier mind and importantly from their heart !!!
I just loved to see him leaving all the desires and longings at the peak moment when they heard someone coming to be overtaken by the protective Arnav towards his lady love...
at that moment, he just wanted to protect her...and nothing else..
and yes, you are so right....he had to give her that harsh treatment to stop her because he knew otherwise she would not let him go....i liked the way he he lightly hugged her and begging to forgive him for what he is going to do to her..it was painful for him...but he had to do it to save his love....this is Arnav's love....very eternal...very pure....
and yes, i can not finish without mentioning....how i loved when he takes lead in those cozy moments....when he stopped her from moving in the first secne before he kissed her on her neck....and then my ULTIMATE secne....when lying down....she turned off from him...and his body language said it all....he puts his hand on her shoulder...giving her a sign that.....he is not going to give up on you khushi.....but all the time, the mix of authority + Love + Desire + Longing + Care+ Determination was very well displayed by Barun's eyes :):)
cheers & luv...
loved the write up totally my dear JS
